S.A.M. can be turned into a laser trap. Here are the steps required:

First, activate this computer right next to Pack-a-Punch by interacting with it.

Now, in the same round, head to the following computer in the Study and interact with the keyboard. Once you’ve interacted with it, the computer will display the message “SYSTEM BOOTING.”

When the computer displays this message, kill the last zombie and pay close attention to the screen. You will either see the message “CLEANING” or a red screen.

If “CLEANING” appears, you can proceed to the next section.
However, if the screen turns red, scroll down to find out what to do next.

Now, head to the next computer on the Overlook area, interact with it, and start the next round to receive one of the two messages again: “CLEANING” or a red screen.

The third and final computer where you need to perform this step is located in the West Hallway at the following position:

As mentioned at the beginning, one of these computers will display a red screen:

As soon as you see this screen, immediately interact with it. You will receive a floppy disk, which you must be sure to keep.

With the collected floppy disk, head back to the underground, to the computer where you activated the Easter egg. Interact with the device to insert the floppy disk. The computer will now restart once again.

Finish the current round and then interact with the computer again to proceed to the next round. You will receive the following message:

Now you’ve completed the Easter egg, and S.A.M. will assist you with a laser, killing all the zombies that cross its path.

You can now reactivate the laser for S.A.M. at the computer for 2000 essence each time.
